Maintenance Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following. Maintains Pinspotters/Pinsetters and related bowling equipment to AMF/Flamingo Bowl specifications as directed. Abides by and maintains safety procedures and operating procedures as required by Flamingo Bowl and OSHA. Ensures that shop and machine area are clean and organized at all times. Follows the preventive maintenance program for all center equipment (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually). Quickly and safely corrects pin jams, ball return calls, and other malfunctions while bowling is in progress. Assists in performing general and emergency maintenance repairs as directed by the supervisor. Ability to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays, as well as extended workdays to support business needs. Other duties may be assigned. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS QUALIFICATIONS: Mechanics must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common technical manuals and schematics. Responds to common inquiries or complaints from employees, customers, and/or regulatory agencies. Effectively communicates pertinent information to center management. Applies principles of logical thinking to a wide range of practical problems. Deals with nonverbal schematics (formulas, schematics, graphs, etc.) and a variety of abstract and concrete variables. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 150 pounds with help and/or assistance. WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a bowling center environment where high levels of noise, dust, and activity can be expected.
