Quality TechnicianLocation(s): Fort Mill, SC, US, 29708 Function: Manufacturing Audience: Hourly Work Arrangement: On Site2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm Pay Rate: $23 per hour plus shift differentialResponsibilities:Conducts required process audits and update the work instructions (SOP's), as required.Records measurement data into database systems for capturing, analyzing, and providing timely and accurate reporting.Reads and interprets blueprint drawings and be proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments.Inspects and examines material for quality compliance and process rejected product.Operates forklift, power pallet jack or manual carts or pallet jacks to unload, move or store materials.Must be able to work required overtime as needed.Work with members of leadership and quality to solve issues.Other duties may be assigned as needed.Qualifications & Experience:Able to work in excel, create spreadsheets, and manipulate data.A minimum of (2) two years related work experience that includes a working knowledge of precision measuring instruments such as CMM, micrometers, height gauges & calipers, etc.Basic math skills with ability to perform basic math calculations, such as, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Plus, knowledge of fractions, decimals, and squares, and square roots.Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis, and problem-solving techniques, root cause analysis, quality assurance practices and concepts with the ability to lead continuous improvement/kaizen events.Ability to read a tape measure accurately.Ability to compare actual measurements to specifications and determine if finished product is acceptable quality.Physical/Mental Demands:Manually lift/slide/flip materials or boxes of material (max. 50 and 51 or higher with assistance), walking, standing, bending, lifting, twisting, agility - constant movingFace paced position - constant flow of materials, attention to details requiredMildly controlled environment - can expect some cold and heat during extreme weather conditionsAbout Owens CorningOwens Corning is a branded building products leader with three complementary market-leading businesses providing roofing, insulation, and doors primarily for residential markets in North America and Europe.
