Banquet Houseperson

Overview The Banquet Houseperson is responsible for the physical setup and breakdown of banquet functions. They ensure that the event space is clean, organized, and prepared according to the event. Responsibilities Arrange tables, chairs, stages, dance floors, and other furniture as per event specifications. Ensure banquet rooms, storage areas, and other assigned areas are clean, organized, and in good condition. Report any maintenance issues to the appropriate department. Properly drape tables with linens, skirting, and other coverings. Ensure all linens are clean and free of wrinkles. Safely transport and handle banquet furniture and other heavy items. Assist with the needs of guests during events, including moving furniture or adjusting setups as required. Clear the room after events, including removing linens, stacking chairs, and disassembling tables. Return all equipment and supplies to their designated storage areas. Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for staff and guests. Work closely with other banquet staff to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and on time. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Ability to lift and move heavy objects ie, tables and chairs. Job requires frequent reaching, grabbing pulling, kneeling, crouching and standing. Availability Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
