Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry

Schedule

This position includes a night shift with a 3x12-hour schedule, running from 19:00 to 07:30. There is a requirement for every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will focus primarily on providing care for cardiac patients, including those with Congestive Heart Failure, Acute Coronary Syndrome, and various arrhythmias. Additionally, there will be a secondary focus on respiratory issues such as COPD and pneumonia.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care on a telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry readings
• Administer medications and perform patient assessments
• Support patient recovery and education regarding heart and respiratory health
• Facilitate communication with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory
• Experience in cardiac telemetry is essential
• Passing a Pass/Fail EKG exam is required
