Veterinary Receptionist

Dorset Street Animal Hospital is hiring a full-time Front-Desk Receptionist We are looking for a customer service professional who excels in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly, and is passionate about animal care. Salary $19.00 - $25.00 per hour, determined by the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications. Schedule Full time position. Our hospital is open 8am–8pm, seven days a week. This position includes a mix of weekday and weekend shifts, with some evening shifts required. Key Responsibilities Greet clients and their pets, complete the appointment sign-in process, confirm appointment details, and escort clients to exam rooms. Ensure accurate service and product sales accounting, handle payments, process credit/debit cards, and schedule future appointments. Answer client calls for appointments, hospital inquiries, medication refills, and other requests. Make outbound calls for appointment reminders and follow-ups. Understand common vaccination protocols, basic lab tests, common diseases, veterinary terminology, and pet behavior. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization to ensure a positive client experience. Qualifications Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist or medical office assistant preferred. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Ability to maintain a calm, professional, and positive demeanor.
