Travel Physical Therapist - $1,926 per week

Travel Physical Therapist (PT) Location: Facility in Bondurant, Iowa. Employment Type: Travel assignment for 13 weeks (40 hours per week, 8‑hour days). Start Date: ASAP. Job Overview This role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with physical impairments in a travel setting. You will develop personalized, evidence‑based treatment plans, utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment needs. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve patient mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized equipment and modalities safely, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management strategies. Maintain a safe treatment environment by following infection control and safety protocols. Participate in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities. Assist in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions to community or home settings. Perform any additional duties within scope of practice. Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy. Experience in physical therapy; new graduates welcome. Additional certifications or licenses as relevant to the position. Essential Skills Critical thinking and strong interpersonal communication. Proficiency in reading, writing, and verbal communication in English. PC literacy and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Physical abilities: stationary work, moving about, moving equipment (50‑100 lbs), pushing, pulling, bending. Interpersonal skills: work effectively with diverse personnel, maintain a professional attitude. Technical/motor skills: fine manipulation, assistance with procedures, use of department equipment. Mental requirements: cope with public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work independently when needed. Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication.
