2027 Future Talent Program - Translational Medicine - Intern

A 12-week internship within the Clinical Pharmacogenetics group focused on analyzing genomic and pharmacogenomic datasets to support precision medicine and drug development. The role involves working with multiple sequencing technologies and collaborating across scientific teams to advance translational research.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret genomic and pharmacogenomic datasets using bioinformatics and computational approaches
- Evaluate data from array-based, short-read, and long-read sequencing platforms
- Develop and apply analytical workflows to support genomic characterization and translational research
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary scientists to generate biological insights for precision medicine
- Communicate findings through scientific presentations, reports, and reproducible documentation
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in Master's or PhD program in bioinformatics, computational biology, genetics, or related field
- Experience analyzing next-generation sequencing data and familiarity with bioinformatics file formats
- Proficiency in Python, R, or other scientific programming languages and Linux/Unix environments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with multidisciplinary collaboration ability
- Must return to academic program after internship completion
Compensation: $39,108-$111,111
