DO YOU MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS?

• Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, social services, communications, or a related field
• 1+ years of experience in volunteer coordination, community engagement, or nonprofit programs
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
• Willingness to learn Bloomerang Volunteer, Sign-Up Genius
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience facilitating training or group presentations
• Ability to build relationships with diverse community members
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and volunteer or database management systems
• Commitment to the mission of serving individuals and families experiencing homelessness
• Ability to work independently, solve problems, and actively seek assistance when needed
• Strong attention to detail
• Familiar with the communities within JOURNEYS service area
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and build community relationships

Being a dynamic public speaker, relationship builder, adaptable problem-solver, and mission-driven professional is a plus!

WHAT WILL YOU DO AS A VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR?

This is a full-time, in-office role with occasional recruitment in the community and shifts that vary within business hours between 8 AM and 8 PM.

In this role, you'll lead the heartbeat of our volunteer program, recruiting passionate community members, welcoming them through thoughtful onboarding and training, and ensuring their experience is meaningful and impactful. You'll connect with local businesses to expand outreach, guide volunteers through training sessions, coordinate schedules and systems, and maintain detailed records to keep operations running smoothly.
