Broker Territory Specialist Agency: Insurance Fund, State Title: Broker Territory Specialist Salary Range: $86,681 to $109,650 annually Employment Type: Full‑Time (Temporary), Competitive Class Travel: 10% Location County: Onondaga Address: 1045 7th North Street, Liverpool, NY 13088 Work Schedule Mon‑Fri, 8 AM to 5 PM, 37.5 hours per week. Telecommuting allowed. Responsibilities Travel frequently to visit independent insurance broker agencies within an assigned region. Serve as the main point of contact for brokers to resolve issues and elevate NYSIF’s brand. Identify and source new business opportunities by aligning NYSIF’s underwriting appetite with broker pipelines. Train brokers on NYSIF systems, workers’ compensation products, and Disability/Paid Family Leave benefits. Meet KPIs regarding monthly broker visit frequencies, quote submission rates, and premium targets. Prospect and appoint new brokerages to expand NYSIF’s market share beyond traditional sectors. Review local premium data, loss ratios, and renewal metrics. Minimum Qualifications 7 years’ experience in a field or regional position within the New York insurance market, specifically regarding Workers’ Compensation, Disability Benefits, and Paid Family Leave (PFL). Or bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or related field and 3 years’ experience in a field or regional position within the New York insurance market, specifically regarding Workers’ Compensation, Disability Benefits, and Paid Family Leave (PFL). Preferred Qualifications Proven track record of managing high performing, large brokerage and General Agency relationships. Experience designing lead‑generation strategies, building sales pipelines, and managing partner relationships through the sales lifecycle.
