THE OPPORTUNITY

\n

A large, well-established construction organization is investing heavily in its Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform and is looking for a Technical Architect to own the technical design of its Field Service landscape.

\n

Field Service sits at the heart of how this business schedules crews, manages assets and work orders, and keeps operations moving across multiple sites. You'll be the senior technical voice shaping how Field Service connects to Finance & Operations, the wider Power Platform and the rest of the enterprise estate, setting standards that delivery teams build to.

\n

This is a fully remote role with up to 20% travel to client sites and offices, offering the scale and complexity of an enterprise program alongside genuine ownership of the architecture.

\n

\n

What YOU'LL BE DOING

\n

\n
• Architecture: Own the end-to-end technical architecture for D365 Field Service, from solution design through to deployment and support.
\n
• Integration: Design and govern integrations between Field Service, D365 F&O and third-party systems using Azure Integration Services, Logic Apps, Service Bus, APIs and Dataverse.
\n
• Dual Write: Lead the design, implementation and optimization of Dual Write between Dataverse and F&O, including entity mapping, initial sync strategy and conflict handling.
\n
• Customization: Direct customization and extension work across plugins, PCF controls, JavaScript, Power Automate and model-driven apps, keeping the platform maintainable and upgrade-friendly.
\n
• Field Service: Shape work order management, scheduling and dispatch, resource management, asset and inventory processes, and mobile workforce enablement.
\n
• Governance: Define technical standards, ALM and DevOps practices, environment strategy, security and performance guidelines.
\n
• Leadership: Partner with business stakeholders, functional consultants and developers, translating operational needs into scalable technical solutions and mentoring the wider team.

\n

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

\n

\n
• Significant experience in Dynamics 365 CE / Customer Engagement, with a strong track record as a Technical Architect or Senior Technical Lead.
\n
• Deep, hands-on D365 Field Service experience across work orders, Universal Resource Scheduling, assets and the Field Service mobile app.
\n
• Excellent integration experience, including Azure Integration Services, REST APIs, Dataverse Web API and middleware patterns.
\n
• Proven Dual Write experience connecting Dataverse with D365 Finance & Operations in a live environment.
\n
• Strong customization skills: C# plugins, JavaScript, PCF, Power Automate and solution architecture best practice.
\n
• Solid understanding of ALM, Azure DevOps and environment management for enterprise D365 programs.
\n
• Confident communicator, comfortable presenting designs to senior stakeholders and leading technical discussions.
\n
• Able to travel up to 20% of the time.
\n

NICE TO HAVE

\n

\n
• Experience within construction, engineering, utilities or other asset-heavy, field-based industries.
\n
• Exposure to IoT, Connected Field Service or Copilot capabilities in Dynamics 365.
\n
• Microsoft certifications such as PL-600, MB-240 or AZ-305.
\n
