Project Executive - Operation

What you will do Lead executive project level management for multimillion‑dollar, multi‑location energy retrofit projects. Oversee project delivery, measurement/verification, and post‑sale activities. Determine resource levels to meet schedule milestones and monitor workforce levels to stay on course with the construction plan. Recruit, retain, and manage on‑site work staff in compliance with contract deliverables, budget and timeline. Control change/scope creep, documenting all scope changes and ensuring change orders are approved prior to or concurrent with work performance. Implement site safety, security procedures and project work rules, and contribute actively to the safety program. Develop and maintain relationships with customers and subcontractors, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project duration. Operate effectively in a matrix management environment and collaborate with Area Team Management, National Operations, and Engineering teams. Represent the project executive with local contracting community, industry organizations, and national subcontractor networks. Serve as the single point of contact for large, national energy retrofit projects across multiple locations with timelines exceeding two years. Manage project profitability, cash flow, and detailed scope development, costing, savings, and reconciliation. How you will do it Serve as the primary contact for JCI and major customers, providing early development support for vendor selection, scope enhancements, value engineering, and risk assessment. Perform cost forecasting, project scheduling, and construction management of assigned projects. Ensure all tasks are completed accurately, on‑time, billed, within budget and within scope, maintaining profitability goals and positive cash flow. Utilize resource planning techniques to maximize team productivity and maintain strong vendor relationships. Own the customer relationship at all levels, providing monthly financial reporting and participating in Project Delivery Director reviews. Provide leadership by exceeding customer expectations and communicating project status to Area Delivery Manager and Delivery Director. Maintain compliance with state, local and federal legal requirements and uphold the highest ethical standards. Champion and drive the SSA Safety Program for employees and subcontractors. Experience in complex, large‑scale projects in multi‑stakeholder environments. Business development and project development expertise. Knowledge of project audit implications and strategic contractor relationship development. Proficiency in software scheduling tools and applications. Ability to evaluate technologies and recommend suitable solutions. Advanced knowledge of construction documents, safety, quality and scheduling. Strong communication, negotiation and C‑level relationship skills. Track record of maintaining profitability, positive cash flow, and client satisfaction. Compensation Salary range: $112,100 – $168,400. Pay is determined by education, experience, skills, internal equity, and market data. The position includes a competitive benefits package.
