Orthopedic Surgery Locums Job in Iowa 24 Hour On Call Specific Dates from September to December Assignment

REQUIRED OPEN DATES:
November 4 (7a) - 9 (7a)
December 23 (7a) - 28 (7a)

Shift Details
24-hour on call shifts, 7am-7am
Inpatient and call coverage at multiple facilities
Weekend coverage required
On call required

Requirements
Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
Active Iowa license or active IMLC (LOQ required at name clear)
Fellowship trained in Orthopedic Surgery
Clean malpractice and background history

Required Procedures / Skills
History and physical exams, admitting, evaluating, diagnosing, treating, and consulting on orthopedic conditions
Management of musculoskeletal conditions including trauma, infections, tumors, deformities, and degenerative diseases
Care for orthopedic patients across all age groups
Ability to assess, stabilize, and determine disposition of emergent orthopedic cases

Assignment Details
Inpatient and call coverage only; no clinic responsibilities
Must take all inbound call inquiries related to the facility
Patient population: all ages
Average daily census: 10-20 across both locations
EMR: Epic Enterprise
Number of physicians: 4
Number of advanced practice providers: 4
No supervision of APPs required
Medical imaging, lab, and pharmacy services available
Facility trauma level: Level III
