Make a difference in the lives of students as a contract Sign Language Interpreter supporting a middle school student in a 1:1 setting. This part-time role offers consistent afternoon hours from 12:00 to 3:30pm CST and the potential for future full-time opportunities. Located near Bartlesville, OK, this is a chance to play a direct role in fostering accessible education alongside a collaborative and supportive school team. Qualifications:

• Proficiency as a Sign Language Interpreter with a minimum EIPA score of 3.5
• Experience supporting students in educational or school settings preferred
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with classroom staff and educators
• Clear communication, professionalism, and reliability
• Strong understanding of interpreting ethics and confidentiality
• Comfortable supporting a middle school caseload in a 1:1 environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct sign language interpretation for a middle school student throughout the school day
• Facilitate communication between the student, teachers, peers, and school staff
• Ensure all interpreting aligns with classroom instruction and activities
• Adhere to privacy guidelines and maintain student confidentiality
• Collaborate with the instructional team to monitor progress and address unique needs
• Adjust interpreting strategies to match the student’s individual learning style
