Overview Manager, Product Management - Personal Loans Application Fraud Decisioning Product Management at Capital One focuses on reimagining the status quo and delivering innovative customer experiences through technology. This role coordinates with Fraud teams to build fraud detection and mitigation that provides a frictionless experience for legitimate customers while deterring fraudsters when risk is detected. About the Team At the heart of the Fraud team’s culture is the reflex to ask questions: Why is this the right problem to solve? What are our options, and which is the optimal solution? About the Role Personal loans carry unique risk since funds are disbursed in one lump sum after approval. We are seeking a Product Manager to define and build the right fraud detection and mitigation approach to deliver a first-in-class, frictionless experience for legitimate customers and to prompt the appropriate verification tools to deter fraud when risk is observed. Additional elements of the role: Strategic visioning + roadmapping — Identify the north star for future state and sequence milestones accordingly Data-driven — Elevate data and models as core assets in decisioning Communication — Maintain alignment with cross-functional, distributed partners Results-driven — Ensure high quality and timely execution while addressing blockers Capital One Product Framework In this role, you’ll demonstrate proficiency in five key areas fundamental to successful Product Management: Human Centered — Obsess over internal and external customer needs to reimagine and innovate product solutions Business Focused — Deliver outcomes through leverage and execution excellence Technology Driven — Leverage technology to deliver innovative and resilient solutions with near-term and long-term value Integrated Problem Solving — Identify and resolve complex problems to deliver outcomes while mitigating product risks Transformational Leadership — Lead cross-functional teams to solve customer problems and drive organizational alignment Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, one of the following with the expectation that the degree will be obtained by the start date: A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or related quantitative field), or a degree in Business or Marketing OR Bachelor’s degree in any field and 3 years of Product Management experience Preferred Qualifications: Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer-facing digital products At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position Salary and Location The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries are listed below by location; this applies to candidates hired to work in one of these locations. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based on hours worked. Chicago, IL: $149,800 - $171,000 McLean, VA: $164,800 - $188,100 New York, NY: $179,700 - $205,100 Richmond, VA: $149,800 - $171,000 Candidates hired in other locations will be subject to the pay range for that location, with the actual offer letter reflecting the selected location. This role is eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI). Incentives may be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
