Our organization is currently seeking dedicated Primary Care Physicians to provide exceptional care for our Veterans, America's Heroes . This rewarding position encompasses a range of services including preventive medicine, neurology, infectious disease, laboratory, and audiology. As one of nine VA clinics, we serve over 80,000 Veterans in the Inland Empire region. The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

• Providing clinical supervision and guidance to mid-level practitioners, such as nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
• Actively engaging in committees and teams within the Medical Center.
• Contributing to various facility initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care services, including Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) teams.
• Identifying personal professional development needs and participating in formal education programs, workshops, seminars, and self-directed learning activities. Completing mandatory education requirements annually.
• Delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to adult outpatients, particularly those aged 65 and older.
• Staying updated on advancements in disease management and treatment through both formal and informal continuing medical education.
• Effectively integrating patient care activities within Primary Care Services and collaborating with other programs at the medical center and in the community, such as Social Work, Prosthetics, Home-Based Health Care (HBHC), and private nursing facilities.
• Exhibiting proficiency in diagnosing and treating patients with complex, multi-symptomatic conditions.
• Timely completion of all medical record documentation in CPRS.
• Involving patients, families, significant others, and healthcare providers in setting realistic, measurable health education goals and treatment plans, while assisting staff in mutual goal-setting processes.
• Planning, implementing, and evaluating care tailored to the specific needs of each patient.
• Assessing Veterans using advanced clinical judgment and physical assessment skills.
• Identifying acute, non-acute, and chronic health issues.
• Participating in evaluation sessions for medical students and GME trainees assigned to their services.

• Competitive Salary Range : Annual salary between $250,000 and $265,000, with potential exceptions.
• Performance Awards : Opportunity to earn up to $15,000 in additional annual performance pay.
• Regular Increases : Annual cost-of-living adjustments and salary reviews every two years.

• Thrift Savings Plan (Federal 401k Equivalent) with 5% Agency Match : Contribute up to $22,500 annually, with vesting after 3 years of qualifying service.
• Survivor Benefits : Eligibility for survivor benefits after 10 years of service.
• Annual Leave (Paid Time Off) : Receive 208 hours (approximately 26 days) of annual leave each year, along with unlimited paid sick leave and 11 paid federal holidays from the start.
• Continuing Education : Earn CME credits at no cost, with potential for $1,000 or more annually and five or more paid days off to attend CME courses (conditions apply).
• Credit for Military Service : Service credits from military experience can be transferred to your federal job at VA, contributing to your total years of work for retirement purposes.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must hold a current, full, and unrestricted medical license in a U.S. state, territory, or Commonwealth, or in the District of Columbia.
• Completion of Internal Medicine Residency Training is required.

Preferred Experience: Candidates should be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice, with a preference for those having at least 5 years of hospitalist experience. Service without strings: Employment at our organization is "at will," meaning there are no contracts, noncompete clauses, or restrictive covenants.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
