Front Desk Associate | TEMP | FT Mon-Fri 8:30am-4:30pm | $19/hour | On-Site | West Chester, PA
ASSIGNMENT STARTS ASAP
Temporary ON-SITE opportunity to assist at a local government Voter Services Office in preparation for the 2026 Fall Election. This assignment starts ASAP and is expected to run through approximately the end of November 2026.
A day in the life of a Front Desk Associate:
- Serve as the first point of contact for members of the public visiting the Voter Services Office
- Greet and assist visitors in a professional, friendly, and helpful manner
- Answer questions and provide general information regarding voter services, registration, ballot applications, and election-related processes
- Assist visitors with completing or submitting forms and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member when needed
- Handle inbound and outbound phone calls, emails, and general inquiries
- Assist with processing voter registration materials, ballot applications, mail, and other election-related documents
- Maintain accurate records and complete data entry and other clerical/administrative tasks
- Protect confidential and sensitive voter information while interacting with the public
- Assist with special projects and other office duties as needed, which may include standing and light lifting
- As the election approaches, duties may include assisting at various sites as needed
Requirements of a Front Desk Associate:
- Previous experience in a front desk, customer service, administrative, or public-facing office environment preferred
- Comfortable interacting face-to-face with a diverse range of members of the public
- Professional, friendly, and patient demeanor with strong customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
- Dependable and consistent in attendance and performance
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive voter and election-related information
- Comfortable working in a busy environment while assisting multiple visitors and managing competing priorities
