Front Desk Associate / Poll Worker Support | TEMP FT Mon-Fri 8:30am-4:30pm | $19/hour | ON-SITE | West Chester, PA

ASSIGNMENT STARTS ASAP

We are hiring Front Desk Associates / Poll Worker Support Staff to assist a local government Voter Services Office as they prepare for the 2026 Fall Election.

This is a temporary, full-time, on-site position starting ASAP and expected to run through approximately the end of November 2026.

This is a great opportunity for someone with customer service, administrative, reception, or public-facing experience who enjoys helping people and working in a busy office environment.

• Serve as the first point of contact for members of the public visiting the Voter Services Office
• Greet visitors and provide friendly, professional customer service
• Answer general questions regarding voter services, registration, ballot applications, and election-related processes
• Assist visitors with forms, applications, and other paperwork
• Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and general inquiries
• Assist with voter registration materials, ballot applications, mail, and other election-related documents
• Perform data entry, filing, recordkeeping, and other general administrative tasks
• Help keep the front desk and office organized and running smoothly
• Provide support to poll workers as they prepare for Election Day , including helping them with paperwork, materials, check-in, scheduling questions, and other administrative needs
• Assist poll workers with getting set up and prepared for their Election Day assignments
• Help answer questions and direct poll workers to the appropriate staff member when additional assistance is needed
• As Election Day approaches, assist with increased office activity and election preparation
• Assist at other locations or with special projects as needed
• Duties may include periods of standing and light lifting

• Previous experience in customer service, front desk, reception, administrative support, or another public-facing role preferred
• Comfortable interacting face-to-face with a wide variety of people
• Friendly, professional, and patient personality
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable answering questions and providing assistance in person and over the phone
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
• Dependable and consistent with attendance
• Able to stay organized and multitask in a busy environment
• Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
• Must be comfortable working in a public-facing election environment and assisting poll workers with their pre-Election Day preparation
