Senior Quality Engineer (QE)Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) has been a technology development and manufacturing leader of infrared systems for over 70 years, and it continues to be one of the industry stakeholders in the production of high-tech vision products for a variety of space, tactical and commercial applications. RVS is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer (QE) to implement and develop quality engineering and customer quality flow-down requirements throughout proposal and program life cycle with our Focal Planes Operations group.This position is an onsite role located in Goleta, CA.What You Will Do :Create or tailor existing quality planning to administer customer and internal quality requirementsImplement quality engineering responsibilities as a member of a program Integrated Product Team (IPT)Ensure programmatic and technical risks are identified, contained, and managed throughout each phase of business pursuit and program implementationEnsure quality engineering engagement in program development, design, test requirements and verification, including the transition of design to productionLead multi-functional teams in problem resolution and continuous improvement activities with an emphasis on 8D, Six Sigma, Lean Practices and other critical thinking improvement methods and resourcesManage the completion of Internal First Article Inspections (FAIs)Guide business and program performance utilizing predictive and proactive measures and metricsMaintain positive relationships with program administration, cross-functional program stakeholders, suppliers, customers, and government representatives.Qualification You Must Have :Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and five (5) years of engineering experience.Minimum of 5 years' experience in Quality, Engineering or Operations with working knowledge of business strategic planning and proposal, engineering development, material and service acquisition, production, test, product acceptance and/or post-delivery support.Working experience applying and adhering to Quality Management Systems IS0 9001, AS9100.Working experience of Industry and Government Quality Requirements and Standards.Working experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) methodology, systems, and resources.Working experience in predictive and proactive measures and metrics assessments and actions to improve performance or mitigate problems.The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
