Hiring Agency Justice & Public Safety Cabinet | Kentucky State Police Location 919 Versailles Road Frankfort, KY 40601 USA Description Kentucky State Police is the premier, full-service law enforcement agency in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Primary Role: The Financial & Grants Management Branch is responsible for establishing and maintaining an accounting system in compliance with state and federal guidelines. The Finance Section, within the Branch, provides the technical expertise to ensure bill pay and Procard are executed in a timely and accurate manner. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversees and administers the business affairs of (Accounts Payable/Receivable, Procurement Card, eMARS processing, travel and related EBI reporting and reconciliations) of multiple Post/Branches within the agency. The employee will use the Agency Chart of Accounts, eMARS elements and appropriate policies, Kentucky Administrative Regulations and Kentucky Revised Statutes to maintain budgetary and financial programmatic accuracy and efficiency.
• Serves as Procard Program Administrator pursuant to FAP 11-58-00 and General Order AM-C-9. Oversees and maintains all procard allocations, documents and other relative records. Ensures assigned facility/office remains complaint with Finance Administration Policy, KRS and KAR.

Minimum Requirements EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree (which includes twenty semester hours or thirty quarter hours in accounting). EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: One year of professional accounting experience. Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Professional experience in Kentucky State Government accounting will substitute for the education on a year- for-year basis.
