Step into a pivotal contract opportunity supporting students in an engaging educational setting as a Speech Language Pathologist. This assignment begins in late August 2026 and continues through early June 2027, offering flexibility for either full-time or part-time scheduling, Monday through Friday, with a total of 37.5 hours per week available. Located near Hockessin, DE, this vital position combines working onsite within a school building and providing dedicated services to students who are medically homebound.

You’ll collaborate closely with education professionals and families, adapting to fluctuating caseloads and contributing to student success in both traditional and home-based environments. This diverse role is ideal for clinicians eager to make a meaningful impact on students’ communication and educational growth.

Ideal qualifications:

  • Current Delaware Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred
  • Comfort with both onsite and homebound service delivery
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families
  • Flexibility to manage changing caseloads throughout the school year

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in school and homebound settings
  • Complete appropriate assessments, evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Maintain meticulous documentation and progress reports
  • Consult with teachers and families to ensure IEP goals are met
  • Adapt interventions based on student needs and progress
