Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a Cardiac Cath Lab requiring 24+ months of cardiac cath experience and prior travel contract experience.

Details

• Regional Cardiac Cath Lab unit
• Patient types include peripheral and coronary angio, PCI, and pacemaker procedures
• Average of 4 patients/scans per day
• Equipment includes Artis Zee C-arm, Impella, IABP, and Acist Injector
• Uses Epic EMR
• 4x9 hour day shifts, 36 hrs/week, with a 0645 start time
• Block shifts cannot be guaranteed
• No on-call requirements; weekend requirements TBD

Requirements

• Minimum 24 months of current Cardiac/Cath Lab experience required
• ARRT or RCIS/CCI certification required
• AHA or ARC BLS and ACLS certification required
• Iowa Radiology license highly preferred; license required if applicable, and non-licensed applicants may apply for licensure upon offer acceptance
• Proficiency with fluoroscopy required
• Proficiency and comfort with peripheral and coronary angio cases, PCI, and pacemaker procedures required
• Impella experience highly preferred
• Additional equipment experience with Acist Injector, iFR, and IVUS highly preferred
• Skills checklist specific to Cardiac Cath discipline required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred

Additional Information

• Candidates must have completed at least one travel contract within the previous 12 months; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Must be located at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address
• Unless the unit is closed, contractors are required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
• Hospital-provided light blue scrubs
• Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) may be restricted from travel assignments at other UPH markets within the past 12 months
