Senior Manager, Contracts

Provide oversight of a multinational portfolio within the Global PATRIOT® program area Lead front-end assessment of business pursuits, proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract management, and significant customer activities Ensure contract acquisition and fulfillment align with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications Understand program performance requirements and develop contractual and negotiation strategy Provide guidance and influence results in support of program and financial objectives Work with Program Management leadership, the Office of General Counsel, and cross-functional peers on program gate reviews, program management reviews, business strategy sessions, proposal reviews, risk management, and contractual matters Represent Raytheon independently on significant transactions Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers Travel internationally to Europe 25% of the time Implement strategies to improve acquisition timelines and customer pace of contractual actions Develop pre-negotiation objectives and conduct negotiation strategy reviews Investigate and resolve complex contractual matters Advise on contractual rights and obligations, regulations, and policies/procedures to mitigate risks and unauthorized changes Review proposals for customer requirements, balanced risk/opportunity posture, financial soundness, and compliance with company policies and standards Continuously improve the quality, capability, and bench strength of the contracts organization Requirements University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience Experience in Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contracting Experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and/or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) Experience with proposal development and negotiations U.S. citizenship required Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance Active and existing DoD Secret security clearance required after day 1 Excellent communication skills and ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with complex customers Experience working contracts with international partners Ability to work within a team environment and develop effective relationships based on respect and trust Excellent time management and organizational skills Cross-functional experience in Finance, Integrated Supply Chain, Business Development, or Program Management Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in contract negotiation, management, and compliance within multinational environments, with a strong focus on Direct Commercial Sales and Foreign Military Sales.
