Location Winston Salem, North Carolina, United States Job Description Pratt Perks: Paid Holidays from DAY ONE Insurance benefits and wellness reimbursement program within ONE MONTH of hire 3 Months: 401(k) with match 12 months: FULL tuition reimbursement and PAID childbearing/parenting leave Position Summary: Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, into railroad cars or trucks or storage facilities. Safely and accurately load finished product onto trailers for shipping. Essential Functions/Position Responsibilities: Load and unload inbound shipments Move merchandise to storage locations Build, pick, and pack pallets Perform quality checks on inbound goods Carry out simple maintenance on the forklift, like recharging its battery and refueling Identify and report mechanical and electrical faults to the supervisor or to the right technicians Pack goods in the area/warehouse by hand when the situation demands Identify and report damage or safety concerns to managers and supervisors Move product from the area/warehouse to other units within the company either by using the forklift or by hand Stack empty pallets and relocate pallets Pack and move other items than goods as instructed by supervisors, such as packing hazardous wastes Weigh goods and record the weight in a log sheet Follow all company safety guidelines Ability to read production sheets Basic computer skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to add, subtract, & multiply Able to work extended work hours and weekends, as needed; self‑motivated Able to work in varying temperatures Professional attitude & conduct Ability to reconcile roll tags at end of shift Follow all company policies per Employee Handbook & Code of Conduct Performs other job‑related duties as assigned Hiring Requirements/Preferences HS Diploma or GED Pass background check, drug screen, physical, & Caetus Aptitude testing. At least 3 years of forklift experience required.
