POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general direction of the Accounting Manager, the Accountant will be responsible for a variety of high-level accounting activities for the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reconciles balance sheet accounts for properties/equipment, current liabilities, long-term liabilities, and other assets. Records costs of newly acquired fixed assets (both tangible and intangible) Tracks existing fixed assets, records any depreciation/amortization and accounts for the assets’ disposition. Maintains equipment lease schedules and ensures lease payments are made promptly. Collects all tax-related information and oversees reporting to taxation authorities at the federal, state, and local levels in a timely manner. Serves as primary point of contact for any other government-related finance inquiries. Reconciles balance sheet accounts and oversees various tax filings including deferred income, sales & use, building property, payroll, annual tax filings, etc. Oversees corporate liquidity, investments, and risk management related to the company’s financial activities. Reviews, manages, and reconciles company bank and credit card accounts. Reconciles corporate balance sheet accounts including current assets, current liabilities, long term liabilities, and other assets. Oversees general accounting operations by controlling and verifying financial transactions. Reconciles balance sheet accounts including current assets, liabilities, and equity.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, master’s preferred At least 1 years direct experience CPA preferred.
