This opportunity is ideal for an experienced automation professional with a strong background in industrial controls, PLC programming, SCADA systems, and electrical troubleshooting. The successful candidate will play a vital role in designing, installing, commissioning, and maintaining industrial automation systems while ensuring equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety standards. Key Responsibilities Design, configure, and program industrial control systems. Install, commission, test, and troubleshoot industrial automation equipment. Program, modify, and maintain PLC and SCADA systems. Diagnose electrical, automation, and control system issues to minimize equipment downtime. Perform preventive maintenance and system optimization activities. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and system specifications. Provide technical support to operations, maintenance, and production teams. Ensure all automation systems comply with applicable safety standards and company procedures. Assist with equipment upgrades, control system improvements, and process optimization. Maintain accurate maintenance records and project documentation. Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of Controls Technician experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Experience programming and supporting PLC control systems. Experience working with SCADA systems. Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Knowledge of industrial automation equipment and control devices. Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving abilities. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work onsite in Grand Bay, Alabama. U.S.-based applicants only. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Technology, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field. Experience with Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or similar PLC platforms. Experience with HMI programming and industrial networking. Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial production environments. Knowledge of variable frequency drives (VFDs), instrumentation, and motor controls. Preventive maintenance and continuous improvement experience. Strong understanding of industrial safety standards and electrical best practices.
