Assistant Director (Full-Time, On-Site) – Flemington, NJ

Pay: From $54,000.00 per year

Job description:

Hunterdon Academy of the Arts , founded in 1981, is an award-winning performing arts school and the largest after-school arts program in Hunterdon County. We provide music and acting education to students of all ages and are proud to be a cornerstone of the local arts community.

We are seeking a  full-time Assistant Director to support daily operations, assist with enrollment growth, and help create an exceptional experience for students and families.

This role is ideal for someone who is  organized, dependable, and enjoys working with people in a fast-paced educational environment.

Work Location

This is a  fully in-person position at our  Flemington, NJ campus .
Applicants who are unable to commute to Flemington and work reliably in our facility 5 days a week  should not apply . Thank you.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Director with  daily academy operations
• Assist with  student enrollment and family communication
• Provide excellent  customer service to current and prospective families
• Help coordinate  events, programs, and student performances
• Assist with  scheduling, sales, program coordination, and administrative tasks
• Maintain a  welcoming and professional environment for students and families

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 2+ years of sales and customer service experience
• Experience in  education, youth programs, or arts organizations preferred
• Background in  music, acting, dance, or performing arts a plus
• Ability to work a combination of daytime shifts (10-6) and  afternoon/evening shifts (1-9pm), plus rotating weekends.

Compensation

• Starting at $54,000 per year (based on qualifications)
• Performance bonuses available
