This position supports production by receiving, storing, preparing, and delivering raw materials and packaging supplies when and where they are needed.The Material Handler plays an important role in maintaining accurate inventory, following proper stock rotation and labeling procedures, and protecting the quality and safety of our products.What You'll Be DoingPrepare and deliver raw materials and packaging supplies according to production shop ordersMake sure the correct materials and quantities are available to support productionReceive, inspect, label, and document incoming raw materials using Bridor's paperless receiving systemStore and rotate inventory according to first-in, first-out (FIFO) proceduresMaintain the quality and condition of dry and refrigerated ingredients, including yeast, milk, eggs, butter, and margarineFollow proper storage and labeling procedures for allergen and non-allergen materialsLabel, count, and document materials returned from productionComplete inventory transactions in SAP, including receipts and stock movementsParticipate in month-end and year-end inventory auditsOperate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safelyMaintain clean, organized, and safe work and storage areasFollow Bridor's safety policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), hygiene requirements, and food safety procedures, and report deviations to the Quality Assurance teamParticipate in required training and help train new team membersPerform other duties as assigned by the supervisorWhat We're Looking ForHigh school diploma or equivalentAt least two years of experience safely operating a reach forkliftValid forklift operator certification or the ability to obtain certification within a reasonable period through trainingFamiliarity with warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, rider forklifts, and scissor liftsUnderstanding of inventory rotation practices, including FIFOComputer and data entry skills, including familiarity with Outlook, Word, Excel, SAP, and RadleyKnowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and BRC food safety standardsAbility to read, write, and speak English and accurately read and record information from labels, thermometers, screens, and other devicesAttention to detail and a commitment to product quality and food safetyAbility to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate with team members and managementWillingness to learn and continuously improve work practicesWorking Conditions and AvailabilityAbility to lift up to 50 pounds without mechanical assistanceAbility to stand or sit for extended periodsAbility to work in different environments, including freezers, refrigerated coolers, and outdoor areas in varying weather conditionsAvailability to work day or night shifts, consisting of three 12-hour shifts; weekend availability may be requiredJoin Bridor and help us deliver quality products to customers across North America.
