Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

Overview

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the emergency department, including rapid assessment, triage, frequent re-evaluation, and documentation
- Monitor patients’ vitals and telemetry; interpret strips and respond to abnormal findings promptly
- Administer medications, start IV access as needed, assist with procedures, and manage anesthesia-related tasks under supervision
- Coordinate patient flow with physicians, radiology, laboratory, and case management; facilitate admissions, transfers, or discharges
- Provide patient and family education, pain management, and discharge planning while ensuring safety and quality of care
- Maintain accurate, complete medical records; participate in ongoing quality improvement and safety initiatives

Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC; PALS or ENPC (equivalency) accepted
- Experience: 2+ years telemetry experience; 1 year of prior travel experience required
- Education: RN degree (as applicable for licensure in MA)
- Must be able to read telemetry strips; comfortable with 12-hour night shifts
- Flu vaccine required during onboarding (declinations not accepted)
- Telemetry test administered on first day; pass/fail; study materials provided at assignment confirmation
- Must be separated for a minimum of 6 months from any perm, per diem, or contract role to be considered
- Ability to float to another site as needed (details provided during assignment)
