Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to ER patients, including initial triage, rapid assessment, stabilization, and ongoing treatment planning.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs, administer medications and therapies, interpret ECG strips, and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team; assist with procedures and participate in code/rapid response events as needed.
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record; ensure timely and thorough charting.
- Maintain patient safety, advocate for patients and families, manage crowding and throughput, and ensure proper handoffs during shift changes.
- May be required to float to a nearby unit/location as needed; adhere to unit-specific policies and protocols.

Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC; PALS or ENPC (or equivalent) required
- Experience: 2+ years telemetry/ER nursing experience; 1 year of prior travel nursing experience
- Onboarding requirements: flu vaccine (declinations not accepted); telemetric strip interpretation capability; pass/fail telemetry test on first day with study materials provided
- Other: Must be separated for a minimum of 6 months from any permanent, per diem, or contract role to be considered; ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend; ability to work in a hospital ER setting
