STRUCTURAL ENGINEER | SPRINGFIELD, MO

Inspired Designs Engineering and Architecture (IDEA) is looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to help advance the future of modular and off-site construction.
This is an opportunity to apply your engineering expertise to innovative building systems while collaborating with engineering, architecture, and manufacturing teams to turn complex challenges into real-world solutions.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
Design structural steel, cold-formed steel, hybrid systems, and modular chassis.
Perform structural calculations for building, transportation, lifting, and installation loads.
Develop engineering drawings, calculations, connections, and specifications.
Support building code compliance, state approvals, and third-party reviews.
Improve designs for manufacturing efficiency, material optimization, and installation.
Partner with manufacturing teams on product development, quality, and continuous improvement.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
5+ years of structural engineering experience.
Experience designing structures for commercial buildings.
Strong knowledge of structural steel and applicable building codes.
PE license and multi-state engineering licensure are highly desirable.
Experience in modular, prefabricated, or off-site construction is a plus.
