This role focuses on delivering patient care through all nursing phases, including assessment, planning, and evaluation within a hospital setting, maintaining high standards of nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities of the RN - Labor and Delivery - Travel

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Administer and monitor patient responses to medications.
• Guide patient care, teaching, and activities of ancillary personnel.
• Maintain relevant, accurate, and current patient records.
• Provide documentation of patient assessment, including physical, psychological, and social dimensions.
• Understand and demonstrate proficiency in the role of charge nurse.
• Adhere to safety and body fluid policies and procedures.
• Represent the hospital while maintaining confidentiality.

Requirements of the RN - Labor and Delivery - Travel

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred
• Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS) required
• Successful passage of CCH's Pharmacology exam
• Fetal Monitor Course attendance every 2 years (Intermediate or Advanced)
• Current certification in American Academy of Pediatric Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP)
• Recent OB experience within 2 years required
• CPI (Crisis Prevention) preferred
