New hires must either provide documentation of previously completed required vaccinations or complete the required vaccinations within the first 30 days of employment.Required vaccinations include: Hepatitis B, Hepatitis A, and TDAP/Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Acellular Pertussis).Position SummaryAs a Combo Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a Combo/Jet-Vac Truck to clean underground pipes, vaults, and tanks using high-pressure water and vacuum systems. In addition to operating specialized equipment, you will assist in setting up and managing traffic control in accordance with safety regulations and site requirements. Your work directly supports the productivity and safety of the field crew, and you will report to the Field Operations Manager.Regional & Work Environment ConsiderationsThis role involves working along busy streets, highways, and residential roads, often in high-traffic areas. Crews must follow strict safety protocols and be aware of roadside hazards. Some sites may include embankments, uneven terrain, or wet conditions. Expect outdoor challenges and changing weather conditions. This means adapting to high heat, humidity, sudden storms, and cold temperatures.Primary ResponsibilitiesDrive and operate a Combo/Jet-Vac Truck to, from, and around assigned worksites to clean sanitary and storm collection systems utilizing a Class A / B CDL licenseComplete daily DOT vehicle inspections as required / maintain required fuel logs and DOT paperworkComplete the cleaning of small and large diameter pipe, vaults and tanks to Client StandardsStrong ability to operate all mechanical aspects of the Combo truck independentlyCommunicate and work with the CCTV Operator on assigned tasks at specific projectsMonitor maintenance of the vehicle including coordinating repairs and conducting routine maintenance as neededUtilize simple hand tools and troubleshoot any mechanical issues with tools, Combo truck or other equipmentInteract positively and professionally with the public, municipal organizations and utility clientsMaintain safe work zones utilizing safety items such as traffic cones and signs / ensure proper procedures are followedWork in all weather conditions (including inclement conditions) to perform assigned dutiesTravel to various projects to include local and out of state locations based on business needsJob Qualifications and Skills:Valid CDL B License, prefer Combo Truck experienceAbility to pass a thorough background check and pre-employment drug screen required as a condition of employmentCurrent DOT physical examination and the ability to obtain and maintain a Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC)Desire to work 50+ hours weeklyHands on jobs and working outside in all types of weatherReliable transportationIndividuals who can walk on terrain types, work in confined spaces, bend, squat and lift/carry up to 75 poundsAbility to work in confined spaces at time with proper certificationTravel 2 to 3 weeks at a time as needed, work weekends and work some nights. A valid driver’s license and obtaining a medical clearance to drive DOT-regulated vehicles (DOT Medical Certification) is considered an essential function of employment in field operations. Employees must obtain this medical certification within 90 days of hire and maintain it as a condition of continued employment.
