Location: Nationwide Travel (80%)
Office: Frisco, TX (periodic office presence required)
Preferred Home Base: Dallas–Fort Worth, TX
First Assignment: Arkansas
Project Type: Commercial / Federal

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to join a growing, family-owned commercial construction company. This is a newly added position due to continued growth and an expanding national project portfolio. The role requires extensive travel, approximately 80% , with the first project assignment located in Arkansas and future projects taking place across the United States. The Superintendent will also have periodic responsibilities at the company’s Plano, TX office.

The Superintendent will oversee field operations for large-scale commercial construction projects, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked for major General Contractors and have experience on federal or government projects. Modular construction experience is a plus but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day field operations for commercial construction projects nationwide
• Lead the first project assignment in Arkansas and transition to future nationwide projects as needed
• Read and interpret design drawings, specifications, and construction documents
• Manage subcontractors and coordinate all on-site activities
• Ensure compliance with project schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements
• Maintain daily reports, progress tracking, and field documentation
• Enforce project processes, compliance standards, and contractual requirements
• Coordinate with Project Managers, owners, inspectors, and governing authorities
• Ensure adherence to federal project requirements when applicable
• Support design-build and modular construction processes, including coordination with manufacturing and installation teams

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of Superintendent experience on large commercial projects
• Experience working for major General Contractors preferred
• Federal or government project experience is a strong plus
• Modular construction experience is a plus, but not required
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively, approximately 80%
• Active security clearance required
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and fast-paced project schedules
• Willingness to complete required training and certifications

Safety & Certifications

• EM 385 certification preferred
• Candidates who do not currently hold EM 385 certification may be considered, as the company will pay for required training and certification
• Must be willing to complete all required safety courses and project-specific training

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $90,000–$120,000
• Higher salary range available for candidates capable of handling both Superintendent and Project Management responsibilities
