Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Summary: The Telemetry Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to acutely ill patients with cardiac monitoring needs. This role involves assessing patient conditions, interpreting cardiac rhythms, and administering medications and drips according to protocols in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans that incorporate psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors. Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, promptly recognizing arrhythmias such as A-fib, A-flutter, SVT, VT, PVCs, and PACs. Administer and titrate critical drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Lasix, Insulin, and Heparin, ensuring adherence to protocols and monitoring for adverse effects. Collaborate with healthcare team members, patients, and families to communicate clinical updates and education effectively. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements to optimize patient safety and quality of care. Qualifications: Valid California RN license, current and active. BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or ARC. Minimum of one year recent experience in a telemetry or cardiac care setting. Proficiency in rhythm interpretation, including recognition of common arrhythmias and associated interventions. Demonstrated knowledge of medication administration, infusion protocols, and patient monitoring.
