HVAC Chiller Technician

We are a mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) contractor offering a variety of MEP and process piping services, including design-build engineering for new construction and renovation, installation and specialty construction, maintenance, air balancing, start-up, and energy efficiency services. Job Summary We are looking for an experienced HVACA Chiller Technician to service, install, and repair HVAC, chiller, and refrigeration equipment for both existing and new accounts in a safe and efficient manner. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, overhauls, major inspections, retrofits, and tear-downs on complex mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong refrigeration background, excellent electrical and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to read schematics and work with Building Management Systems. Duties And Responsibilities Essential Duties & Responsibilities Service/Install/Repair HVAC, Chiller, and Refrigeration equipment safely and efficiently for existing and new accounts. Maintain working knowledge of all mechanical systems, including troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of complex mechanical HVAC equipment. Use PC application software and Building Management Systems as needed. Read and interpret schematics. Perform chiller preventive maintenance, repairs, overhauls, major inspections, retrofits, and tear-downs. Maintain records of work performed and parts/materials used. Utilize company and vendor resources. Uphold standards, policies, procedures, and maintain a clean work area. Follow schedules and budgets. Wear company uniform, use required safety PPE, and perform job hazard analysis. Demonstrate professionalism in appearance, verbal, and written communication. Interact with customers by providing status reports before, during, and after each call. Explain technical information effectively and professionally to technical and non‑technical audiences. Required Qualifications Strong refrigeration background. Minimum 5 years of field experience. Excellent customer service skills. Good electrical skills. Refrigeration troubleshooting skills.
