Structural Engineer – Residential Construction

Hybrid, 3 days in office min

• Advanced knowledge of residential wood-frame design and construction .
• Experience with concrete and CMU/masonry design and construction , particularly in Florida.
• Strong understanding of residential construction methods, materials, structural systems, and applicable building codes.
• Ability to independently analyze problems and develop practical, cost-effective solutions.
• Comfortable collaborating with engineers, architects, construction professionals, and operations teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative and analytical approach to solving structural and construction-related problems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
• Commitment to maintaining an active Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Required Qualifications

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Florida PE license preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Architectural, or related Engineering .
• Minimum 4 years of professional engineering experience .
• Professional experience with residential wood, concrete, and CMU/masonry design and construction .
• Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, structural design principles, and applicable building codes.
• Ability to perform engineering work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
