Accounting Clerk (Contract-to-Hire)
Location: Lafayette, IN
Schedule: Full-Time, In Office
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience
Our client, a growing manufacturing company in Lafayette, is seeking an Accounting Clerk for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has experience supporting multiple accounting functions using QuickBooks Online .
Responsibilities
Process accounts payable invoices and vendor payments
Assist with accounts receivable, cash application, and collections follow-up
Perform account reconciliations and research discrepancies
Enter and maintain accurate financial data in QuickBooks Online
Support month-end closing activities
Assist with inventory and manufacturing-related accounting tasks
Maintain organized electronic and paper records
Provide administrative support to the accounting team as needed

Qualifications
2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or accounting clerk experience
Experience with QuickBooks Online required
Manufacturing industry experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
