Production Technician

As a Production Technician, you will support food production operations while developing proficiency in production processes, equipment operation, quality standards, sanitation procedures, and troubleshooting techniques. This entry-level role is designed to provide training and experience across multiple production areas, with opportunities to build technical knowledge and operational skills.

Duties:

Including but not limited to:

• Operate safely and appropriately in all work environments and situations.
• Learn and demonstrate an increasing understanding of food production processes and associated production systems.
• Participate in formal training, testing, sanitation activities, and performance evaluations.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and production guidelines.
• Assist with food production processes, including product manufacturing, cutting, and packaging activities.
• Support production operations throughout multiple stages of the manufacturing process.
• Assist with equipment operation, basic equipment maintenance, and sanitation activities.
• Monitor product quality and ensure adherence to established specifications and procedures.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Complete required paperwork and recordkeeping accurately and in a timely manner.
• Operate production equipment with a high level of precision and attention to established formulations and specifications.
• Support traceability requirements through accurate documentation and record retention.
• Complete Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) training and comply with all food safety, quality, and occupational safety requirements.
• Perform sanitation duties in accordance with SOPs and GMP standards.
• Participate in company-sponsored training and development programs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization efforts.
• Assist with troubleshooting production and equipment issues as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

• Experience in food manufacturing, food processing, food service, or other production environments is preferred.

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Demonstrated reading, writing, mathematics, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license required.

Work Environment:

• Food manufacturing and production facility environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Requires standing and walking for extended periods, including shifts lasting 8+ hours.
• Must be willing to work various shifts, including weekends, as required.
• Must be available to respond to emergencies and after-hours communications when necessary.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required depending on the work area.
