Tax Manager - Charlotte, NCAn experienced tax professional with 5+ years of public accounting experience and a CPA is needed to oversee and manage tax preparation and planning for high-net-worth individuals and trusts while leading, developing, and motivating a tax team. This full-time opportunity is available immediately in Charlotte, NC. The role aims to deliver exceptional tax services, strengthen client relationships, and support the growth of a specialized HNW tax practice in a collaborative, inclusive, and team-focused office environment. The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.The Tax Manager in the High Net Worth practice oversees tax planning and compliance for individuals and trusts, while managing staff assignments, reviewing work, and ensuring accuracy and adherence to tax regulations. This role involves engagement management, team leadership, business development, and providing creative solutions to complex tax matters.Key responsibilities include providing tax planning and compliance services for high-net-worth individuals and related trusts, building and maintaining trusted advisor relationships with clients, identifying tax issues and recommending innovative solutions to complex matters, managing client engagements to ensure exceptional service delivery, growing a strong professional network to support business development efforts, recruiting, mentoring, and motivating team members, fostering collaboration and encouraging team members to seek input and share ideas, promoting a culture of engagement, inclusion, and accountability aligned with firm values, and setting and achieving stretch goals to increase your contribution to the organization.Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; a Master's in Tax preferred, 5+ years of recent public accounting experience managing multiple HNW tax engagements, CPA certification required, strong multitasking, leadership, and project management skills, excellent communication and networking abilities, proven ability to manage and grow client relationships, and experience working with tax software and modern tax technology tools.
