As a part of Uptown Community Health Center Call Center you will be answering calls for our 3 clinics along with our financial counselors. Summary The Call Center plays a key role in representing the clinic; they are a welcoming presence and are responsible for greeting patients professionally on the phone. They compassionately answer and route all phone calls into the call center in a timely manner. Developed in this role is a knowledge of insurance parameters, co-pays, and available financial options within our health center. Call Center Representatives are crucial in contributing to scheduling, rescheduling, and outreach. Function Greets and introduces themselves to patients in a prompt and pleasant manner. Performs any screening procedures as directed. Answers, documents, and triages phone calls to ensure patients are connected with the appropriate care team members. Excels at scheduling all types of appointments and is proficient in scheduling nuances. Responsible for continuously addressing and completing in-basket tasks and work queues as assigned. Contributes to organizing, maintaining, and compiling office supplies, educational and screening materials, and packets as needed. Completes reschedules and outreach calls as directed. Relays messages to patients, including normal results - under the direction and guidance of the providers. Proper and accurate documentation within the electronic medical record: recording patient examination, treatment, and test results. Maintains patient confidentiality and protects medical office operations by keeping information confidential; cautioning others regarding potential breaches. Attends required staff meetings, standard work meetings, trainings, and Spring Fling - virtually or in person as required. Be available to work as scheduled and report to work on time regularly and reliably. Be available to work onsite as needed or when requested. Other Duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Preferred: Graduate from an accredited medical assisting program. Preferred: Two (1) year experience in integrated healthcare or primary care. Preferred: Experience with Epic application and heath record. Preferred: Experience working with and sensitivity toward special populations, including those with limited income, limited education, and non-English speaking individuals.
