Description We are seeking are a skilled Machinist (2nd shift) professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Stafford, Texas location, you will have a strong understanding of machine tools and manufacturing processes. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Responsible for the fabrication of fixtures, jigs, brackets and other parts, including welding, grinding, tapping, forming, deburring, and inspection for conformance to requirements. Detects equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjusts machine, within capabilities, controls or control media as required to insure quality or production. Reports all machine malfunctions to immediate supervisor. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Set up and operate machine tools to achieve desired tolerances and finishes. Measure and inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met. Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment. Follow safety guidelines and procedures. Collaborate with other team members to complete projects. May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor Assist with training others on equipment when necessary For This Role, You Will Need: Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience Typically requires a High School Diploma or equivalent Demonstrates proficiency in operating machine tools, mills, grinders, and other precision equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving abilities, and knowledge of machining techniques and tooling. Must be able to lift 40 lbs. This position requires the ability to read, understand, and communicate in English at a level necessary to safely and effectively perform essential job duties.
