Food Service Worker

Summary: Prepares, delivers food trays to residents, assist with serving and clean up of meals by performing the following duties.

• Assists in the preparation of floor meal service and prepares food items such as snack trays and floor refrigerator refreshments.
• Determines items to place on tray according to specified procedures.
• Examines filled tray for completeness and places on cart. Places items such as eating utensils, napkins, and condiments on trays, designated containers.

Performs other specified cleaning duties in kitchen, dining rooms and kitchen equipment guidelines. Attends in-service training classes.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read and understand dietary instructions and fluent in English language (both written and verbal). Fluency in English both written and verbal; ability to read menus and tray tickets.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None Required.
