Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: RN Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 AM - 07:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Current license to practice as a registered nurse Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS/PALS certification may be required Must-Have: - Knowledge of nursing process and practice. - Proficiency in using various technical equipment for patient care. Description: Provides safe and efficient age-specific nursing care to patients and their families using the nursing process. Assists patients in attaining, maintaining, regaining, and sustaining optimal health status. Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship-based nursing care. Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that ensure safe practice and positive care outcomes. Exhibits clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical outcomes. Develops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing. Encounter Protected Health Information (PHI) as part of regular responsibilities. Works in a unit that services both adult and pediatric patients, ranging from 0 to 100+ years of age. Facility is a Level 3 Trauma Center and Stroke and Chest Pain Center. Knowledge of BLS, PALS, ACLS, and NIHSS is necessary.
