Long Term Care LVN/LPN Position

Schedule

This position offers a flexible schedule with options for either 4x12 or 3x12 shifts, focused on either day or night rotations. The facility requires that caregivers do not rotate between shifts, although occasional adjustments may be made under urgent staffing needs.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Long Term Care LVN/LPN to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to adults and geriatric populations, ensuring they receive the best possible support in a long-term care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine care to patients, including vital signs monitoring and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Manage patient medication and care plans in accordance with physician orders.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff and healthcare providers regarding patient status changes.
• Perform various nursing tasks as needed, including but not limited to catheter management and feeding tube care.
• Engage with patients and their families to ensure their comfort and satisfaction with care received.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Alaska LPN/LVN license (must be in hand at the time of application).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a long-term care setting.
• BLS Certification.
• Experience with long-term acute care (LTAC) preferred.
• Completion of Alaska Food Worker Certification (provided during orientation).
