Registered Nurse NICU

RN - NICU (Level IV) PositionAn experienced Registered Nurse is needed to join a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Seattle. This full-time night-shift opportunity is designed for an RN with hands-on NICU experience who is prepared to care for critically ill and medically complex neonatal patients in a collaborative, high-acuity environment.The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care, coordinate treatment plans with the interdisciplinary team, support patients and families, and maintain high standards for clinical quality and safety.Key Responsibilities• Assess neonatal patients and develop, implement, and continually evaluate individualized nursing care plans.• Monitor patient status, document clinical findings, and promptly communicate significant changes to the appropriate care team members.• Coordinate care and patient transitions across the continuum while working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals.• Advocate for patients and families while respecting individual rights, values, beliefs, dignity, and care preferences.• Educate and support families regarding treatment plans, clinical needs, and ongoing care.• Maintain competency in clinical practices and procedures required within the NICU.• Incorporate evidence-based practices and quality-improvement principles into daily patient care.• Identify potential safety concerns and take appropriate action to protect patients, staff, and the care environment.• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members and appropriately delegate nursing activities.• Maintain professional nursing standards and remain current with applicable clinical, ethical, and regulatory requirements.• Participate in continued professional development and contribute to a collaborative learning environment.Required Qualifications• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.• Active Washington State Registered Nurse license upon hire.• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification through the American Academy of Pediatrics upon hire.• At least 1 full year of post-graduation RN experience in a NICU.• NICU experience must be professional RN experience completed after graduation; nursing school clinical rotations do not count toward the experience requirement.Preferred Qualifications• At least 1 full year of full-time RN experience in a Level IV NICU.• Experience caring for high-acuity neonatal patients in a complex critical-care environment.Key Skills Required• Neonatal intensive care nursing• High-acuity patient assessment and monitoring• Neonatal resuscitation• Care planning and clinical documentation• Patient and family education• Interdisciplinary collaboration• Evidence-based nursing practice• Patient safety and quality improvementWhy This Location?Seattle offers access to both an active urban environment and extensive outdoor recreation.
