Unarmed Security Officer

Protection SpecialistA Protection Specialist will conduct unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior). Additional duties include control access and egress; monitor CCTV; compose reports; deter criminal activity and misconduct. AGB's policies and procedures.General Duties:Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicleWatch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazardsSound alarms or calls police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized personsWarn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articlesPermit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exitsObserve departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirementsInvestigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post ordersProvide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional mannerAssists persons who require directions or general informationPerform other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:A high school diploma or G.E.D preferredA valid driver's licenseUnited States CitizenshipCPR CertifiedCertified Customer Service Training18 years of age at the time of application submissionMust maintain strict professionalism and confidentiality in dealing with sensitive informationMust follow all AGB policies and proceduresAbility to effectively understand and communicate in English (verbally and in writing)Highly accountable, reliable, and prompt, with a strong work ethicMust display exceptional customer service and communication skillsRemain flexible to ever changing environments; adapt well to different situationsAbility to maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standardNeat and professional appearanceMust be able to handle pressure of working with high volume general public (constantly to occasionally depending on assignment)Ability to sit at a desk for a large portion of the dayMay require periods of walking throughout the facilityAbility to effectively operate and utilize a computerMust be able to work longer hours based on departmental needsStand or walk constantly (for up to an entire shift) on various surfaces (tile, concrete, carpet)Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shiftOccasionally bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various dutiesOccasionally lift or carry up to 40 poundsRun as neededConstant use of both hands and arms in reaching/handling/grasping/fingering while using phone, notepad, writing reports, and other administrative tasksConstant use of eyes (correctable vision to normal level required) to observe, read, interact with public and co-workers, view security monitors; includes hand/eye coordinationWork in various environments including adverse outdoor conditions such as cold, rain or heatConstant mental alertness and attention to detail required while setting priorities and following up on assignmentsHiring Requirements:Valid PERC cardValid FOID card (if applying for Armed)Clean Driving RecordValid 20-hour/40-hour security training certificatePass a pre-employment drug screen and background checkMust be able to work standard hours including weekends, evenings, and overnight
