We’re seeking a Barista for a Team 2 schedule (Thursday - Saturday, with alternating Wednesdays)!
About Gimme! Coffee:
Gimme! Coffee is a specialty coffee roaster/retailer founded in 2000, with locations in Trumansburg and Ithaca, NY. We bring great coffee to our community, using practices that are sustainable through every step of the supply chain from farmer to customer. From the beginning, Gimme! Coffee has been a leader in the evolution of the third wave and the specialty coffee industry. We are passionate about quality at every step of the supply chain and we’re constantly keeping our eyes on the horizon.
About CoCo:
CoCo is a fast paced cafe with a single daily shift, (7:00-3:30). CoCo is a welcoming and inclusive cafe, with high volumes of students, Cornell staff, and Cayuga Heights locals. We are looking to expand our hours within the next year!
ABOUT YOU
You are someone who loves coffee and loves learning. You are available for 32+ hours per week, including weekends, and can make a 1-year commitment to growing alongside the Gimme community. You are ready to take on challenges with a positive attitude. You take pleasure in making someone's day. You have empathy for others and love working on a team to achieve goals that benefit yourself, your coworkers, and your customers. You are responsible and know how to have fun and get work done at the same time. You are interested in developing a new skill set. You would like to learn how to make craft espresso beverages.

POSITION DESCRIPTIONBaristas are responsible for creating an outstanding experience for all Gimme customers. Baristas work individually and as part of a team to provide excellent customer service, prepare high quality beverages, carry out store operations, maintain a clean and pleasant store environment, and constantly seek to further their coffee knowledge and improve their skills.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIESCustomer Service & Cafe Environment (Major)Provides excellent customer service; anticipates and responds to customer needs; proactively resolves customer concerns.
Smiles at and makes appropriate eye contact with customers.
Maintains a welcoming and pleasant cafe atmosphere.
Expedites customer orders and line movement; takes orders and marks cups accurately; sets up drinks appropriately.
