Machine/Saw Operator

Location: Nova, OH
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00/hour
Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team in Nova, OH. This position is responsible for setting up and operating industrial saw equipment to cut raw materials to precise specifications while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards. The ideal candidate has experience in a manufacturing environment, can accurately read measurements, and takes pride in producing quality work.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate horizontal and vertical saws according to work orders and specifications.
• Measure, mark, and cut materials accurately using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools.
• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and production drawings.
• Inspect materials and finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Perform routine machine adjustments and basic preventative maintenance.
• Load and unload raw materials safely using material handling equipment when required.
• Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
• Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with all safety standards.
• Report equipment issues, material defects, or safety concerns to supervision.
• Work collaboratively with production team members to meet daily production goals.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
• Saw operation experience is a plus but training may be available for the right candidate.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations.
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to read work instructions and blueprints preferred.
• Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and moving equipment.
• Must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
