# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Neuro Stepdown – North Carolina

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), 36- or 48-hour work weeks available. Patient ratio 1:4. Weekend requirement: minimum of 3 weekend shifts every six weeks. No call required.

Requirements:

• Current RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required; neuro stepdown experience strongly preferred
• Previous travel experience required (first-time travelers will not be accepted)
• Active certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required; CCRN, TNCC, and CPI preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Extensive clinical skills required including:
  • Neuro stepdown, PCU/Stepdown, and telemetry experience
  • Ability to titrate vasoactive drips including Levophed
  • Cardiac monitoring: dysrhythmia interpretation and management
  • Neurological skills: CVA, traumatic brain injury, craniotomy, aneurysm repair, post-TPA care, lumbar drains, seizure disorders, spinal cord injury, intracranial bleeds
  • IV therapy: central line, PICC line, and peripheral line management; blood product administration
  • Medication management: heparin protocols, insulin drip titration, cardiac and vasoactive drip titration, PCA, thrombolytic agents
  • Respiratory care: ventilated patient care, BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, ABG interpretation
  • Advanced procedures: continuous bladder irrigation, pre/post hemodialysis management, feeding tube management, TR Band, surgical drains
• Willingness to float to other intermediate and critical care areas as needed
• Strict adherence to attendance and call-off policies
