Production Coordinator II

Rocket Lab is an end-to-end space company delivering responsive launch services, complete spacecraft design and manufacturing, payloads, satellite components, and more – all with the goal of opening access to space. SUPPLY CHAIN

Rocket Lab’s Supply Chain team is responsible for the flow of all materials, products, and components through the business. They set up the assembly kits that enable our technicians to assemble Electron rockets, manage inventory, handle shipping and receiving, oversee direct and indirect procurement, and inspect and ensure all materials meet standards. The team links our units together and is critical to the success of our rocket and satellite programs.

PRODUCTION COORDINATOR II

Based onsite at Rocket Lab’s Middle River, MD facility, the Production Coordinator II follows up with production areas on the status of open work orders, expedites deliveries where needed, and resolves blockers preventing on‑time delivery. As a key resource within the planning function, the coordinator supports production planners to ensure timely delivery of fabricated materials from our global production system. Key Responsibilities Responsible for fulfilment within MRP for production work orders. Responsible for releasing kit requests to Inventory. Support prioritization and expediting of subassemblies to meet integration timelines. Clear blockers preventing production from completing orders, including following up on issue tickets, part shortages, and yield loss. Work in a cross‑functional team environment as a strong team player and demonstrate ability to collaborate with other functional groups to achieve company goals. Other duties as assigned by manager relevant to the role. Qualifications High School Diploma and 2+ years of production experience in a high‑paced manufacturing environment or equivalent education. Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business or supply chain. Proficiency in MRP systems. Team‑oriented, strong ability to multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced environment with multiple deadlines. Proven ability to clearly communicate, manage work tasks, and provide status updates. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and efficiently. Additional Requirements Ability to travel and communicate outside of standard work hours. Must be willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed. Required vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus capacity. Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, operate computer keyboard and controls, and communicate verbally and in writing. Must be physically able to commute to buildings. Occasional exposure to dust, fumes, and moderate levels of noise.
